Well, I grew up in a small town Never seemed like much was going down Wound up lost more than I was found And I had to find my way I watched my family work the land At night we ended up with guitar in hand It’s on this Earth that I’ll still stand Lord, I had to find my way Papa taught the whiskey recipe And Mama put the fear of God into me In the Lord and whiskey I believe Lord, I had to find my way I never did believe that we were wrong Living, hard work, whiskey & song It’s to this life that I belong Lord, I had to find my way

Every man needs a friendly face Someone that he can go on and come home to Someone who knows exactly what I mean Someone who gets what I am What I go through Tarzan had Jane, and Fred had Wilma Shaggy had a dog, two girls, and a van Well, you know, that’s a little bit creepy Well, who am I to judge Cartoon Land For all I know, you think I hear voices That tell me I’m a Jedi Knight Lightsaber in hand But I’ve never had to use The Force to trick you to kiss me Cause truth is you’re just as crazy as I am Who needs Halloween when you think you’re Batman Cause we can dress up and fight crime all year long As long as the neighbors don’t figure out what we’re doing Cause all those normal people seem to think that we’re off They say we’re a little bit off For all I know, you think I hear voices That tell me I’m a Jedi Knight Lightsaber in hand But I’ve never had to use The Force to trick you to kiss me Cause truth is you’re just as crazy as I am

Just A Girl 03:37
“Just a girl” I heard ‘em say Grew up doing things the right way But it’s time to let me go Just a girl, I’m on my way And getting farther every day And I learned how to go it alone I’m speaking up, I’ve had enough And I can’t hear a thing You can shout, go ahead and scream Cause I’m not listening Just a girl making my own rules When everyone’s telling me what to do But I don’t care what they say at all Yeah, I was weak for far too long And now I’m going to stand up strong And I won’t let them see me fall Stand tall, I won’t fall I’m speaking up, I’ve had enough And I can’t hear a thing You can shout, go ahead and scream Cause I’m not listening “Just a girl” I heard ‘em say Too tall and in the way But things aren’t always as they seem They tell me how to dress, how to wear my hair Cross my legs and not to swear But I won’t be your American Dream Not me, no, I’m not your dream I’m speaking up, I’ve had enough And I can’t hear a thing You can shout, go ahead and scream Cause I’m not listening

Fever 03:47
Full moonlight down by the river As the summer sun goes down I‘ll dream of you even while you put me down Found a boy and made me a man I came into being with the touch of your hand Fever (comin’ down) You brought me love Nightly like no woman ever did I can feel you in my bed I can taste your skin Cast out a boy and made me a man I came into being in the palm of your hand Fever (comin’ down)

I'm Home 04:14
Got my dog stretched out on my truck’s front seat Stevie Ray on the radio playing Oh, it’s in the air and it’s on the street Leaves are changing, colder weather’s coming And I’ve been running for so long Sometimes I’ve been alone on the road Sometimes I’ve been the star of the show But now I’m home I’ve been everywhere, I’ve seen everything Been every place that my wheels could take me Every little town, every city street I leave behind little pieces of me And I’ve been running for so long Sometimes I’ve been alone on the road Sometimes I’ve been the star of the show But now I’m home

A few hundred miles from Memphis And I’m moving farther from what I know Take a look in the mirror It’s six days ‘til I’m back at home Who knew where this would lead me All the dreams that I left home to chase I never knew how I would miss you But you knew I could never stay Six more days As I fight to make my name (Six more days) Can’t wait to show you how I’ve missed you In six more days Spend my days counting hours I pray to speed up time I swear the clock is laughing at me But you knew the tale is mine Oh, the nights, tell my stories Dark rooms, whiskey, and song I fill my heart with conviction And pray that I’m not wrong Six more days As I fight to make my name (Six more days) Can’t wait to show you how I’ve missed you In six more days Don’t know where I’m going but I know why But I can’t stop missing who I left behind Six more days As I fight to make my name (Six more days) Can’t wait to show you how I’ve missed you In six more days

Everday 03:10
Life is getting harder Everyday that I don’t have you Trouble is not thinking Everyday that I don’t have you So I stare at the phone Wondering what to do So tired of being along Living without you Cause everyday just isn’t the same Everyday gets longer and longer Everyday, why must it be this way Everyday My life is changing Everyday that I don’t have you Moving on isn’t easy Everyday that I don’t have you So I go on back home Nothing more to do now that I’m alone And living without you Cause everyday just isn’t the same Everyday gets longer and longer Everyday, why must it be this way Everyday My life is changing Everday

Steel Horses 03:29
Breeze blowing down an open road People to see and places to go Grab my hand and he told me goodbye Don‘t need a reason Just some space to fly Steel horses keep driving me on Steel wind, a face in the sun You can’t put down roots When you’re trying to run See the world through a twilight of blue When everything still reminds me of you Steel horses keep driving me on Picture a home and a song in my head Remembering still the last words he said Standing together in a hot summer haze The day the horses drag me away Steel horses keep driving me on

Hello baby, as forward as it seems Come on home with me Well, I know that some folks might find this obscene Come on home with me I ain’t promising wedding cards and such But the way you look tonight sure fits me like a glove And I sure do know it ain’t right or tame Let me love you girl, you’ll never be the same Come on baby, if you got no place to be Come on home with me Let me help you make some noise Let’s make a scene Come on home with me Girl, you got something that shakes me to my roots It picks me up and turns me ‘round It won’t turn me loose I got some love for you, don’t walk away I know it’s way too soon but I just have to say I ain’t no movie star, we’ll just make believe So come on home with me I might not be what you want but I’m what you need Come on home with me
10.
Daddy told me always be strong When you need me most when I know you‘re wrong Never hang your head and always stand up straight Walk the way of giants and never lose your faith Never lose your faith Well, it’s you and it’s me and it’s something to see It’s worth fighting for Well, it’s holding on tight for one hell of a ride It’s worth dying for Can we keep this together Can we stay forever It’s worth fighting for It’s worth dying for It’s worth fighting for The world is open to you if you just believe Work at the things you love until your fingers bleed A man is only worth all the good he’s done Always fight when you’re right, never turn and run Never turn and run Well, it’s you and it’s me and it’s something to see It’s worth fighting for Well, it’s holding on tight for one hell of a ride It’s worth dying for Can we keep this together Can we stay forever It’s worth fighting for It’s worth dying for It’s worth fighting for

Well, your man is someone Bigger, stronger, meaner than me But he’s got muscle in places That they don’t need to be You keep on telling me that I ain’t what you need Then why are you still kissing me Well, I guess he’s nice to look at but a little short on charm But he looks oh so nice hanging on my arm You keep on telling me that I ain’t what you need Then why are you still kissing me Tell me why Why are you still kissing me Why, why won’t you just let me be It’s so obvious a blind man could see Why are you still kissing me It’s so obvious a blind man could see Why are you still kissing me Well, I guess he’s nice to look at but a little short on charm But he looks oh so nice hanging on my arm You keep on telling me that I ain’t what you need Then why are you still kissing me Why are you still kissing me

about

Forgotten By Friday Stratford, Connecticut

In 2010, two old High School friends decided to start a Country band based around original music that mattered.
"Believe" was released in 2012. FbF took their music to the Nashville area, playing in places like the Bluebird Cafe, with many area songwriters. Our 2nd album,
"Whiskey and Song" was released in 2015. That earned a CTnow Connecticut music award for best original country band.
